Company Finance & Investment Banking
Film Financial Services is a subsidiary of Entertainment Financial Consultants who provide general investment banking services to entertainment companies including mergers and acquisitions, public and private equity and debt offerings, business plans, venture capital, expansion capital, slate financing, valuations and other financial services and products.
FFS has structured, obtained and supervised several multi-picture production financing facilities, some valued in excess of $100 million, involving international co-production and exploitation structures for companies such as Bertelsmann, Miramax, MGM, Prism and Hemdale.
For 10 years FFS’s CEO David Sheldon represented FirstCorp Merchant Bank (a division of South Africa’s largest bank) in their media investments and lending. Projects under his supervision included a $156 million joint venture with Westinghouse in US theatrical film distribution.
FFS and EFC have consulted for and launched three independent film distribution companies - Independent Artists, Kosmic Releasing and Legacy Releasing (now Freestyle Releasing). EFC also managed the acquisition and reverse NASDAQ public listing of new media distributor Educorp and the leveraged management buy-out, expansion and sale of SWR Sound Corp to Fender Musical Instrument Corporation.
