Independent film finance and distribution usually involves several components of financing. Film Financial Services evaluates each film on a case-by-case basis and provides production finance and distribution services to fit the situation.

Films come to FFS at various stages of finance and production. Sometimes the producers need full finance, partial finance, completion financing or just distribution for completed films. Frequently a distribution commitment is critical to production finance.

FFS can finance all or part of a film’s production costs. We are experts in structuring international co-productions to access tax credits and subsidies which we then fund against. These components of "soft money" frequently do not need to be repaid.

FFS has its own fund to provide Gap (debt) financing and we have partnerships with post-production studios at various locations including the US, Canada, Asia and Europe to provide visual effects, production and postproduction services, completion services and funding.

For film production and distribution companies we provide investment banking services including: business plans, offering documents for investors and arranging lines of credit for slates of films.
